James Freake

It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Freake, age 70 years of Boyd’s Cove, NL announce his sudden and unexpected passing at his residence on Sunday, April 7, 2024.

He is predeceased by his parents James & Hazel, grandparents Alfred & Patience Freake, Andrew & Jane Burry, uncles Clarence, Heber, Peter, aunts Myrtle (Horatio) & Maude.

Left with fond and loving memories are his partner Gladys, son Jason, step–son Dion (Karen), grandchildren Autumn (Cameron), Daniel, Max, great–granddaughter Emmie–Mae, step–grandchildren Daniel (Melanie), Shannon, step–great–granddaughter Grabriella, siblings Celeste (Burke), Frederick as well as a large circle of extended family & friends.

Resting at St. George’s Anglican Church, Boyd’s Cove, NL with public visitation on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the church on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Stella Mills officiating.

Donations in James' memory may be given to Lupus Canada.
