Adam Wycliffe Rideout

May 22, 1985 ~ September 11, 2019 (age 34)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Adam Wycliffe Rideout on Wednesday, September 11th, 2019.

Adam was born in Fredericton, NB on May 22, 1985 to Michele Fraser (Philpott) and Bert Rideout.  He grew up in Nova Scotia and moved to Calgary, AB in 2005 where he recently received his Red Seal Journeyman electrician certification. He loved spending time with family and friends whether it be backyard bonfires, camping, fishing with Shane, relaxing or just playing computer games. Adam’s belly laugh was infectious and was shared with everyone around him.  Spending time with Adam always involved deep intellectual conversations and healthy debates about world issues.  Adam had a heart of gold and loved his friends and family dearly. Shakira was never far from his thoughts, his love for Jade was immeasurable, and for some reason, he and his best friends Marc and JD always seemed to end up in the same part of the country together. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his sharp wit and his kindred spirit.

Adam was predeceased by his sister, Shakira Rideout and his grandfather Wycliffe Rideout. Survived by his loving parents Michele (Shane) Fraser,  Strathmore, AB; Bert (Elizabeth) Rideout, Sackville, NB; sister, Jade Fraser, Dartmouth, NS; Grandparents, Larry & Ella Philpott and Margaret Rideout, Cottlesville, NL; Step-grandparents Sheila and James Higgins, Halifax, NS; Aunt and uncles, Angela (Owen) Hodder, Kerry (Roxanne) Philpott, Denika Philpott (Darryl); Donna (Otto) Cooper, Greg Rideout, Mervin Rideout, Darlene Rideout (Sam), Jason (Carmen) Rideout and a long list of extended family.

Celebration of life will be held at Salem Pentecostal Church in Cottlesville, Newfoundland on Wednesday, September 18th at 2:00 pm. Inurnment will follow at a later date.
