It is with deep appreciation for a true gift from God that the family of Melvin Hodder, announce his home-going—Friday July 5, 2019. Melvin was kindness, gentleness, and benevolence personified. Leta and the family highly esteemed their husband and dad. Until we meet again Melvin, we will treasure in our hearts every minute we shared with you. Melvin devoted his life to loving God, his wife, and his family. He lived every day of his 80 years to the fullest, in particular every hour he spent in the great outdoors.
Melvin is predeceased by his Parents; Elias & Adelaide, brothers; Charlie & Francis.
Left with life of precious memories are his wife of 60 years, Leta; daughters Wanda (Terry), Debbie, Pauline (Brent), Rhoda (Edwin), Leann (Rodney); adopted sons; Rodney (Loretta), Floyd. Sisters; Melvina & Lucy. Grandchildren; Kirk (Kayla), Kelly (Roger), Melvin (Crystal), Mitchell (Teresa), Megan (Luke), Christy, Victoria (Tyson), Shelly (Wade), Joshua, Shane (Aimee), Amanda (Leroy), Matthew (Carla), Chad, Sarina (Brandon). Great-grandchildren; Alissa, Riley, Ethan, Julia, Rachel, Ryder, Tori, Colton, Melanie, Jayron, Kayden, Jayden, Kaylee, Savannah, Hailey, Silas, Jaxon, Abigail, Liam, Lailah, Amelia, Nicole, Devin, Mitchell, Maddison, Cedella, Celena, Noah. Great-great-grandchild; Lincoln, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
Resting at the Stoneville Pentecostal Tabernacle with public visitation on Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the church on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor I. Tilley officiating.
