Sidney Rideout

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sidney Rideout, age 86 years, formerly of Valley Pond, NL announce his peaceful passing at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL on Thursday, January 2, 2020.

He is predeceased by his parents Giles & Beulah, wife Flossie (nee Jennings), sisters Evelyn, Marjorie (Hardy), brothers Larry, Morley (Maisie) and nephew Trevor.

Left with fond and loving memories are his children Holly (Harris) Gates, Chris (Debbie), Dean (Debbie), grandchildren Heather (Tyler), Hilary (Shannon), Justin (Rebecca), Nicholas (Melissa), Whitney (Matthew), great-grandchildren Carter, Grayson, Sydney, Brooke, Eric, siblings Zelda (Henry), Andrew (Alvina), Junior (Christine), Derrick (Judy), Garfield (Ina), Ross (Gloria), brothers-in-law John Weiser, Winston (Norma) Jennings, sisters-in-law Ella Rideout, Joyce (Dave) Rideout, Donna (Barry) Anstey as well as a large circle of extended family and special friends at Pleasantview Manor, Lewisporte, NL.

Resting at the Clarence Wiseman Central Salvation Army Corps., Moreton's Hr., NL with public visitation on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. as well as Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the church on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Capt. Tina Dominaux officiating.

Donations in Sidney's memory may be given to the Pleasantview Manor Recreation Program, Lewisporte, NL or to the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund, Moreton's Hr., NL.
