To Connie, Aunt May and family, I write this with a heavy heart and sympathy for all of you. I haven’t seen or talked to Corey for many years but we spent nearly every day of our childhood together and growing up he was the closest thing I had to a brother. I don’t know how many hours Corey, Brad Peddle and myself spent down around the beach throwing rocks, floating boats, out on the copy pans (against everyone’s better wishes) or just hanging out and being friends - and Connie was probably right there alongside us. In celebrating Corey’s life, these are the memories I will hold dear. My most heartfelt condolences to you all.

To Aunt May, Melinda, Connie, Trudy and the entire family: Heartbreaking new about Corey's passing. Life can be so cruel and seem so unfair, none of us understands why our precious loved ones have to leave this earth so soon.

We all have such fond memories of our growing up like a big family in Luke's arm and it hits us all so hard when one of us has to endure such pain and sadness. We spent our days burning off energy and enjoying life. Hot summer days, skipping rocks, swimming, rowing in Uncle 'Arth's' boat and Corey and Connie were never far with Trudy chasing them making sure they were ok. I can hear "Cor and Con" now 'Trud go home' :)
Life seemed pretty easy and we didn't worry about much.

My heart and prayers are with you all. Rest easy my friend.

To my father Corey Canning, I am so sorry I wasn't there to see you one last time and tell you everything I should have or that I love you. I am heartbroken to have received this news and I truly send my condolences to my brothers Rieco and London. I have extremely fond memories of my younger days with Corey. The time he taught me how to ride my bike, the weekends we would spend at Uncle Dan's trailer and the days we would spend at Aunt Claudine's. I knew you loved me very much and always have. I love you Dad and wish we could've seen each other again. Rest in peace.

To Aunt May & family, I am so sorry to hear about Corey's passing. Sometimes life is so hard to understand. My memories of Corey usually involve being at the house with Kerry, down in Back Cove swimming, sliding out by our house during the winter months or hanging out with the 'Luke's Arm" kids. Please know that I am thinking about you and praying for you today and in the days to come.
