My grandfather, Dee, was a quite man, but his silence could speak volumes. The warmth in his eyes when he laughed, the strength of his hugs, and the gentleness in his voice.

When I was just a little boy, I would look up to Dee, and think he was the tallest man in the world. As I got older, I realized it wasn’t his height that made him larger than life, it was who he was. Loving, understanding, and always constant.

From our annual boat trips during the summer, to Christmas Day dinners at Nan and Dee’s house, I have so many wonderful memories that I will cherish my entire lifetime.

When someone is missed, they are remembered. Dee, you will forever be missed and remember; we love you. Xoxo.
