Ada (Gillard) Pelley

It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Ada Pelley announce her passing at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s, NL on Saturday, May 21, 2022. 

She leaves behind her husband and soul mate of 58 years, Wilson. Also, with fond and loving memories are her four children: Terry (Joanne), Wanda (Jamie), Tony (Rachel) and Jennifer (Corey).  She leaves six grandchildren: April (Mark), Stephen, Morgan, Patrick, Ethan and Natalie as well as brother-in-law Gerald Card and sisters-in-law Eileen Pelley and Louise Pelley. 

She is predeceased by her parents Andrew and Isabella Gillard, siblings Jack, Theophilus, Frank, Charles, Elijah, Joyce, Gertie, Elizabeth and Mary. 

Special thanks are extended to Dr. Brad King as well as the many staff, caregivers, and management of The Residence at Littledale in St. John’s where she and Wilson have resided for the past 18 months. She will be sadly missed. 

She is resting at New World Island Funeral Home, Summerford, NL. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 pm on Tuesday, May 24th.  Funeral services will be held at the same location at 6:30 pm followed by a graveside service at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Summerford.
