Amy Burt

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Amy Burt, age 82 years, formerly of Parkview, NL announce her passing at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL on Saturday, April 8, 2023.

She is predeceased by her parents Colbourne & Minnie Burt, husband Willie, infant son Danny, son Kevin, brothers Oliver & Ford Burt.

Left with fond and loving memories are her children Diane (Danny) Ings, Roxanne (Chris) Rogers, Michael (Tina) Burt, grandchildren Robert-Lee, Laura, Olivia, Andrew, Julian, great-grandchildren Alicia, Abigail, Ashlyn, siblings Pansy (Donald) Hurley, Patsy (Clayton) Warren, Wildred (Blanche) Burt, Tom (Christine) Burt, Alwyn (Mona) Burt, sister-in-law Judy Burt as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Resting at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Carter's Cove, NL with public visitation on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the church on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor J. Oxford officiating.

Donations in Amy's memory may be given to the Canadian Cancer Society. Amy was born September 16, 1940 to Colbourne & Minnie Burt of Newville, NL. She married Willie Burt on July 19, 1957 together they raised 4 children Kevin , Diane, Michael and Roxanne. Amy was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. In the early years of marriage Amy kept the house  running and raising the children when Willie was away working in the woods or on the boats. In her spare time she kept busy knitting socks, mittens and even making snow pants for her children. A very important part of her life was attending her church.

The Burt family acknowledges with deep appreciation to many expressions of love, concern and kindness shown to them during this time of bereavement. May God bless and keep you!
