Bernice Mehaney

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bernice Mehaney, age 83 years, formally of Herring Neck, NL announce her passing at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander, NL on Friday, May 19, 2017.

She is predeceased by her parents Aram & Mary Maude Freake, husband Alphaeus Mehaney, son Kevin, sister Edna Mae.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children Flora (Alvin) Boyd, Sandra (Gary) Gale, Myrtle (Walt) Burt, Derrick, Cynthia (Carl) Burt, grandchildren Grant, Elizabeth, Cliff, Alison, Annette, Joel, Crystal, Corey, Ryan, Jesse, Myranda, Aram, Dylan, Chancey, Megan, Ashley, great-granchildren Logan, Kaine, Sebastian, Gage, Michael, Chloe (Charlie), Brooke, Kayla, Ryley, Braeden, Kyra, Elyse, Charlotte and Charlie, sister Flora (Allan), brother Melvin (Verlie), sisters-in-law, Joyce (Hedley) and Marguerite, brother-in-law Owen (Naida). As well as her church family, dialysis family and a large circle of extended family and friends. 

Resting at New World Island Funeral Home with public visitation on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-8 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the New World Island East Central United Church, Newville, NL on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Paula Gale officiating. In keeping with Bernice's wishes cremation will follow.

Donations in Bernice's memory may be given to The Kidney Foundation or New World Island East Central United Church, Newville, NL.
