Bessie Burge

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bessie Burge, age 81 years, of Virgin Arm, NL announce her passing at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander, NL on Monday, June 5, 2017.

She is predeceased by her parents Phillip & Annie Hicks, husband Otto and sisters Gertrude & Stella.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children Wilson, Virgin Arm, NL, Mabel (Gary) Leyte, Virgin Arm, NL, Ernest (Janet Burns), Virgin Arm, NL, Harrison, Scarborough, ON, Tony, Scarborough, ON, Lisa (Fazel) Khan, Scarborough, ON, Calvin (Christine Baggs), Twillingate, NL, Joanne (Dennis) Brinson, Merritt's Hr., NL, Mike (Trena), Virgin Arm, NL, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, as well as a large number of extended family and friends.

Resting at New World Island Funeral Home, with visitation on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Carter's Cove with Pastor Dwight Budden officiating.
