Carrie Simms

It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Carrie Simms, age 82 years, of Boyd's Cove, NL announce her peaceful passing at her residence in the arms of her loving family on Saturday, April 18, 2020.

She is predeceased by her parents John & Elizabeth Ledrew, brothers Arthur, Isaac, Raymond, Henry, baby brother, sisters Margaret Hewitt and Daisy Roberts.

Left with fond and loving memories are her husband Hubert, children Reginald (Maxine King), Elizabeth (Alex) Luscombe, Barbara (Dennis) Burt, Roseanne (Thomas) Pope, Stephen (Marilyn), Phillip, grandchildren Karly, Brandi, Chloe, Corryn, Stephanie, Troy, Sarah, Victoria, Ethan, Abigail, Chase, Felicia, great-grandchildren Parker, Grayson, Liam, Reid, Olivia, Charlie, Kylie, sister Gertie Mercer, a large number of precious nieces & nephews, special friends Ewen & Irene Farr and their family, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A private visitation and graveside service for immediate family will take place on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. 

Donations in Carrie's memory may be given to the Kids Eat Smart Foundation.

Carrie's family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Greenland & the H. Bliss Murphy medical team, Dr. Dina (family physician), home support care givers Maxine King & Trixie Wiseman, Continuing Care Nurse Coordinator Elaine Steele, Palliative Care Nurse Coordinator Heather Eveleigh and all the family and friends who have called or sent messages of support.
