Dorothy M. Curtis

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Curtis announces her passing at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Center, Twillingate on November 20, 2017.

Dorothy leaves to mourn her husband, David Curtis of 50 years. Her sons, Dean (Linda) Curtis, Parkview, Derrick (Emma) Curtis, St. Lawrence, her daughter Deana (Andrew) Gorley, Oshawa, ON,  six grandchildren, Jake and Tiffany Hann, Sara Burry Curtis, John, Joseph, Jordan Curtis and one great-granddaughter Alice,  sisters Emma (Bert) Forward, Clarkes Beach, Flossie (Harold) Small, Moreton`s Harbour, Irene (Roger) Legge, Mount Pearl, Wavey (Lew), Virgin Arm and brother Dan (Ruth) Boyd, River of Ponds.

Dorothy is predeceased by her parents Alma and John Boyd, brothers Junior and George Boyd and her sister Mildred Boyd.

Dorothy leaves to mourn a large circle of nieces and nephews, and her best friend Betty Combden of Virgin Arm. As well as a large circle of friends.

Public visitation will be held on Thursday, November 23, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Carter`s Cove. Funeral service will take place from the church on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor D. Budden officiating. Donations in Dorothy`s memory may be given to the Curtis family.
