It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Floyd Mehaney, age 67 years, of Newville, NL, announce his peaceful passing at the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, Gander, NL on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He is predeceased by his wife Shirley, brother Eugene, parents Thomas and Rowena.
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children Jill (Philip), Kirk (Jenna), grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Claire, Sadie, Benjamin, Charlotte, Mazie, siblings Frances, Nathaline (Tom), as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Morcus Paulus and the nurses and staff of the orthopedics floor at the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre for all the care and compassion to Floyd during his time with them. In addition, the family would also like to thank Dr. Krista Blundell, Dr. Nancy Culleton and the wonderful nurses at the Cancer Clinic in Gander for their exceptional care and compassion over the last two and a half years.
In keeping with Floyd’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.
