Gerald Compton

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of the late Gerald Compton, age 85 years, of George's Point, Gander Bay, formerly of Summerford, NL at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander, NL on January 24, 2019.

Gerald is predeceased by his mother Gertrude Compton, uncles Garland Compton, George Compton and aunts Lucy Rideout, & Bertha Hovelson as well as a large extended family.

Resting at the New World Island Funeral Home where public visitation will take place on Friday, January 25, 2019, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.. The funeral service will take place from the funeral home on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Young officiating.

Interment will follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Summerford, NL.

Pallbearers are Lindsey Compton, Ronald Compton, Larry Pelley, Gilbert Jenkins, Elwood Wheeler and Eric Troake.
