Helen Butt

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Helen Butt age 79 years of Hillgrade, NL announce her passing at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.

She is predeceased by her parents Eli & Mary Rideout, brothers-in-law Graham Butt, Scott Bursey and mother-in-law Netta.

Left with fond and loving memories are her husband Kevin, children Kim (Lorne), Candice (Jason), Kristie (Marty), grandchildren Chantill (Paul), Lee (Kaylee), great-grandchildren Jack, Adelle, sisters Rosemary, Judy (Bruce), nephew Jeremy, sisters-in-law Mary and Elaine.

Helen exhibited her care for others through her 41 year career as a nurse. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking, baking, entertaining company, spending time in her flower garden. Helen also had a passion for animals, especially dogs.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff and doctors at James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Health Sciences Centre, Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Glennis Burt & family and Rev. Valerie Kingsbury.

Resting at New World Island Funeral Home, Summerford, NL. A private funeral service for family and close friends will take place from the funeral home chapel on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
