Helen (Burt) Mercer

It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Helen Mercer, age 63, of Carter's Cove, announce her passing on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's.

Helen was born December 22, 1952, in Twillingate, NL, to Llloyd & Marion Burt. 

Family was most important in Helen's life. She married Gordon on June 20, 1981. The highlight of her life was Trevor. She always looked forward to his calls and visits. Helen loved visiting her friends and she surely loved talking on the phone. 

Helen is predeceased by her father Lloyd, and brother Aubrey.

Left with fond loving memories are her husband Gordon, son Trevor, grandson Karson, mother Marion, sisters Eleanor (Harry Bartlett), Claudette (Dudley Cooze), brother Levi (Marilyn), 5 brothers-in-law, 7 sisters-in-law, lots of neices & nephews and a large circle of family and friends.

Resting at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Carter's Cove, NL with public visitation starting on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the church on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dwight Budden officiating. Interment will follow from the Pentecostal Cemetery, Virgin Arm, NL.

Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Helen's memory may be given to Emmanuel Pentecostal Chruch Cemetery Fund, Carter's Cove, NL.

Pallbearers are Trevor Mercer (son), Lucas Burt (nephew), Evan Burt (nephew), Harry Bartlett (brother-in-law), Dudley Cooze (brother-in-law) and Steven Curtis (friend).
