James Anstey

It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Anstey, age 86 years, of Newville, NL announce his passing at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL on Monday, February 6, 2017.

He is predeceased by his parents Stewart & Bessie, wife Violet, sisters Olive, Stella, Daisy, brothers Eric & Chesley.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children Rick (Vera), Devin (Goldie), Denice (Leo) Pelley, Eldon, Eugene, Dennis, Craig, partner Lucy Rice, grandchildren Josie, Justine (Pete), Justin (Megan), Serena, great-grandchildren Jayden, Sophie, Parker, Garrison, brothers Melvin (May), Hayward (Mary), Wilson (Gertie), Junior (Wanda), sisters Myrtle (Corbett), Claire, Joyce (Chesley), Margaret (Rayfield), Juanita (Harold), Lucy's children Rick (Marie), Ross (Sandra), Edgar (Cindy), Hubert (Erica), Craig & Corrine (Kevin). Also a large circle of family and friends.

Resting at the Salvation Army West Corps., Summerford, NL with visitation on Tuesday, February 7 from 7-9 p.m. as well as Wednesday, February 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the church on Thursday, February 9 at 1:30 p.m.

Donations in James' memory may be given to the Salvation Army West Corps. or the Salvation Army Eastside Citadel, Fairbank, NL.
