Jean Boyd

Passed peacefully away at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL, on July 27, 2022, Stella Jean Boyd.

Predeceased by her parents, Mark Russel Wall and Annie Florence Wall (nee White); brother Gerald; sister-in-law Una.

Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories husband, Leonard; children: Brenda (Charlie), Gloria (Alfred), Jo-ann (Mike), Dawn (Chris); grandchildren: Boyd (Teri-Lyn), Ryan (Jennifer), Cassandra (Jeremy), Kirk (Angelyka), Danielle, Maverick, Isabella; great-grandchildren: Logan, Max, Lyla, Abigail, Carson, Alexys, Alyssa, Aliyah, Noah, Lylith, Kinsleigh, Ivy; brothers: Lewis (Jessie), Herbert (Betty), sister-in-law: Margaret Wall as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

On May 11, 1943, Jean was born in Twillingate, the second of four children to Mark and Annie Wall. On October 10, 1962, she married the love of her life, Len, and together they raised four daughters. Jean was a fish plant worker, part-time postal worker and a housewife. She was a member of the LOBA Lodge at Tizzard's Harbour, the Women's Institute, the Local Service District, Tizzard's Harbour and the New World Island 50+ Club.

Jean's hobbies included knitting, traveling, reading, doing puzzles, fishing and boat riding with Len and especially gardening. She love spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and family gatherings, especially boil-ups in the woods, on Trump Island and in the Bight.

Resting at the New World Island Funeral Home where public visitation will take place from 2 to 4 pm on Saturday. Visitation will continue from 7 to 9 pm at the United Church, Tizzard's Harbour. The funeral service will take place from the church on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 2:00 pm

Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Jean's memory may be made to the Tizzard's Harbour United Church Cemetery Fund. The family would appreciate wearing masks at the visitation and service venues.
