Jonas Ings

It is with great sadness the family of the late Jonas Ings, age 66 years, of St. John's announce his unexpected passing at his residence on Friday, March 6, 2026.

He is predeceased by his parents Eli & Pinie; brothers William "Bill" and Aubrey Ings.

Left with fond and loving memories are his daughter Darlene; a number of grandchildren; siblings Sherman (Mary), Holly (Raymond), Kathy, Doreen (Mike), Esther, Mary, Wade (Darlene), Bernard (Angela), Mike (Allison), Eli "Bud"(Terry-Lynn), Georgina (Danny), Garfield (Lesa), Sharon (Kevin) as well as a large number of nieces, nephews extended family and friends.

Resting at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Carter's Cove with public visitation on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 12-1 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the church on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor J. Oxford officiating.

Donations in Jonas' memory may be given to his family.

Jonas was born to Eli & Pinie Ings on January 10, 1960 in Virgin Arm. He grew up in Virgin Arm but at a young age he moved to St. John's where he lived until his passing. Jonas had a lot of talents especially playing guitar and singing. He loved music and sometimes even wrote his own songs.
