Lillian Critch

It is with deepest sadness we announce that our strong and fiercely loving mom, Lillian Anne Critch, passed peacefully from the world, with family at her side on February 23, 2020.

Lillian leaves behind two daughters Kimberly (Wayne) and Lisa (Peter), four grandchildren Paul (Erin), Katie, Eric, Aaron and several other family members and dear friends who will miss her warm spirit and cherish her special memory every day.

In a community she loved, Moreton's Harbour, surrounded by neighbours she loved even more, Lillian and Eric (husband) lived a beautiful life and raised their daughters by devoted, hardworking and kindhearted example. Lillian faced life and all it's challenges head on with patience, grace and a keen sense of humour. It is through their guidance that Lisa and Kim are the exceptional parents they are.

Lillian's passion and dedication the the United Church in Moreton's Harbour led her to not only be a staple in the congregation as an organist, but a pillar in her community. Playing the organ and singing hymns was an enjoyment she carried throughout her entire life and her musical inclination was a talent inherited by her three grandsons Paul, Eric and Aaron.

Lillian was a compassionate nurse - As a recommendation letter from Twillingate hospital stated in 1954, "a willing, conscientious and capable employee" with a "pleasing personality." All gifts that she passed on to her daughter Lisa and granddaughter Katie, who'll continue to carry her with them through their nursing careers.

From somewhere safe, warm and happy, with lots of tea to drink and sweets to eat, Lillian watches over us all with Eric, Benji (their dog) and several great friends at her side. But she will be so sorely missed by many here on earth, especially Joey (her cat) and perhaps her dearest companion.

Resting at the United Church, Moreton's Harbour with public visitation on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 7-9 p.m. As well on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the church on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Mr. Harry Oake officiating.

Flowers gratefully accepted.

A reception for family and friends will take place following the service from the Moreton's Harbour United Church.
