Louise Gates

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Louise Gates, age 76 years of Summerford, NL announce her passing on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL.

She is predeceased by her parents William & Mary Legge, husband Melvin Gates, sisters Thelma, Margaret and brothers David, Harold & Nelson.

Left with fond and loving memories are her sons David & Brian, siblings Ruby, Irene, Brooklyn, Dennis, nephews Jamie & Danny, nieces Josephine (Gary), Beverly (Bruce) and Maxine, homecare support workers Patsy Bennett and Stacy Combden as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Resting at New World Island Funeral Home, Summerford, NL with public visitation on Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. for family and close friends.

Donations in Louise's memory may be given to the United Church Cemetery Fund, Summerford, NL.
