Lucy Burt-Scott

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lucy Burt-Scott, age 97 years, of Virgin Arm, NL announce her passing at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL, on Sunday, September 4, 2016.

Predeceased by her parents Jim & Minnie Lewis, first husband Raymond Burt, second husband Chesley Scott, son Almond, infant son Wilson, sisters Pheobe & Mary, and brothers William & John Lewis.

Left with fond and loving memories are her children Wylie (Velma), Niagara Falls, ON, Minnie (Edgar) Rogers, Virgin Arm, NL, John "Jack"(Pauline), Virgin Arm, NL, Ewen (Fern), Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Hilda (Jim) Hunt, Brigus, NL, Carl (Cynthia), Mount Pearl, NL, 18 grandchildren, 21 great- granchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, sibilings Jessie Dove, Twillingate, NL, and Claude Gillard, Twillingate, NL. as well as a large circle of family and friends.

Resting at New World Island Funeral Home where public visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the funeral home on Thursday, September 8 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Paula Gale officiating.

Donations in Lucy's memory may be given to her family.
