Marie Ings Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marie Ings, age 80 years, of Virgin Arm, NL announce her passing at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL on Wednesday, May 27, 2020.

She is predeceased by her parents Wilson & Minnie Burt, husband Raymond, brother Ellison and sister Louise (Arthur).

Left with fond and loving memories are her children Vaden (Tina), Victor (Marina), Marilyn (Levi) Burt, Harriet, Yvonne (Paul) Arnold, Enurchas, Judy (Reginald) Wheaton, Craig, Trevor (Yvette), 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, siblings Nina (Warrick) Lovelace, Ambrose (Geraldine), Joy (Cecil) Burt, Irene (Edward) Martin, Aubrey (Helen), Ross (Jeanette), Glen (Susan), Junior (Lori), John (Stella) as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Resting at New World Island Funeral Home, Summerford, NL. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic there will be a private family viewing followed by a graveside service on Thursday, May 28, 2020.

Donations in Marie's memory may be given to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Marie Ings (nee Burt) was born to Minnie & Wilson Burt, she married Raymond Ings on August 3, 1960. Together they raised a family. While Raymond went fishing daily, Marie stayed home with their children. If the children misbehaved, she would always say "wait until your daddy gets home". Marie also loved to read her bible daily and went to church all her life until illness kept her from going. She then began watching services on television. Loved camping, fishing, her meals, a monthly outing to the store and visits from the grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
