Obituary

It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Melvina Hillier, age 62 years, of Fairbank, NL announce her passing at the North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, NL on Sunday, February 27, 2022.

She is predeceased by her father Garfield Wheeler, parents-in-law Wilson & Muriel Hillier, brothers-in-law Eugene Hillier, Andrew Burry, nephews Sheldon Burry, Jeff Burry, David Sutherland and Corey Anstey.

Left with fond and loving memories are her husband John, children Lynette (Deon), Jonathan, grandchildren Kaitlyn, Carrington, Samuel, mother Ruby, siblings Loretta (Henry), Bernadette (Wade), Byron (Daphne), sisters-in-law Maxine, Joan (Leonard), Janice (Brian), Roxanne (Dave), Deborah (Terry), Dorothy, Brothers-in-law Clarence (Joyce), Leslie (Velma), Mervin (Debbie), Jerry (Patsy) and Randy (Renna) as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Resting at New World Island Funeral Home, Summerford, NL with public visitation on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 7-9 p.m. proof of vaccination will be required. Funeral service will take place at the Eastside Salvation Army Citadel, Fairbank, NL on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. by invitation only.

Donations in Melvina's memory may be given to the North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, NL.
