Mildred Rideout

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mildred Rideout, age 89 years, formerly of Valley Pond, NL announce her passing at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL on Sunday, December 21, 2025.

She is predeceased by her parents Willis & Julie Clarke, husband Eric, son Perry, brother Bram, sister Daisy (Steadman), sister-in-law Joan and brother-in-law Alex.

Left with fond and loving memories are her children Paulette (Dave), Norm (Glennis), Floyd (Louann), Guy (Nancy), Edward (Dana), grandchildren Matthew (Michelle), Curtis (Morgan), Tonya (Mike), Natasha (Ryan), Nathan (Gen), Erica (Kevin), Sarah (Kendall), Eric (Tayah), Laurel, William, Julia, Garrett, great-grandchildren Claire, Caiden, Reece, Porter, Maya, Clarke, Parker, Jack, Holden, brother Wallace (Mary), brother-in-law Ford (Eileen), sisters-in-law Daphne (Bill) and Fern as well as a large number extended family and friends.

Resting at Clarence Wiseman Central Salvation Army Corps., Moreton's Hr. with public visitation on Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the church on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Capts. Barry & Jesse Austin officiating.

Donations in Mildred's memory may be given to the Daffodil Place, St. John's, NL.

Mildred was commissioned as a Salvation Army officer as a sword bearer in 1956.
