Obituary

it is with great sadness that the family of the late Millicent Farthing, age 93 years formerly of Herring Neck, NL announce her passing at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL on Thursday, September 2, 2021.

She is predeceased by her parents Stephen & Laura Langdon, husband Harold, sister Ada Hicks and infant brother Garland.

Left with fond and loving memories her son Leslie (Blanche), grandsons Stephen (Charlene), Dennis, Christopher (Sydney), great-granddaughter Olivia, brother-in-law Harvey Hicks, 2 nieces Gloria & Joeann and 6 nephews Ron, Wallace, Roy, Barry, Roger and Randy as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Resting at New World Island Funeral Home, Summerford, NL with public visitation on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, September 6 2021 at 2:00 p.m. by invitation only from the New World Island East Central United Church, Newville, NL.

Donations in Millicent's memory may be given to the New World Island East Central United Church, Newville, NL.

Millicent was a very energetic person as well as kind to everyone. She was a member of the L.O.B.A and U.C.W. She was very talented in knitting, quilting and good seamstress.
