Olive Troake

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Olive Troake, age 71, of Summerford announce her passing at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre on Januery 17, 2017.

Olive is predeceased by her parents Allan & Martha Sheppard, sisters Myrtle, Doris & Alice and brother Herbert.

Left with fond and loving memories are her husband Hardy, chilren  Debra (David Cull), Shoal Bay, Fogo Island, NL, Dion (Josephine), Fort McMurray, AB, grandchildren Jeremy, Cody, Patty, Daniel, Natalie & Brian and great-grandchild Eve.

Also left to mourn are sisters Madeline (Lloyd Wheeler), Virgin Arm, NL, Verlie (Phil Giles), Edmonton, AB and brother Elmo (Myra) Sheppard, Toronto, ON. as well as a large extended family and friends

Resting at the New World Island Funeral Home. As per her request there will be a private family only visitation time.

Funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. from the Summerford Pentecostal Church with Pastor Baine Andrews officiating.

Olive had a teaching career of thirty years in communities including Sop's Arm, Carter's Cove and Summerford.

Donations in Olive's memory may be made to Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child.
