Peter Barnes

It is with heavy and broken hearts that the family of the late Peter Barnes, age 51 years of Summerford, NL announce his sudden and unexpected passing at his residence.

He is predeceased by grandparents Claude & Reta Hurley, Ralph & Agnes Barnes and father-in-law Albert Canning.

Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Nicole, parents Ernest & Geraldine, brothers Maurice (Paula), Alvin, sisters-in-law Nora (Rod), Nancy (Jim), brothers-in-law Neil (Sonya), Norman, mother-in-law Shirley Canning, his dogs Teddy and Milo, nieces, nephews as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Resting at the Summerford Pentecostal Church with public visitation on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Shawn Holmes officiating.

Peter loved life, he was a true friend to everyone around him. His generosity was truly remarkable. He was a dedicated husband and dearly loved his dogs Milo and Teddy. Peter was a dedicated member of the Summerford Fire Department for the past 25 plus years.
