It is with great sadness that we the family of the late Raymond Brett, aged 87 years, announce his peaceful passing at North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, NL on Tuesday, May 5th, 2020.

Raymond leaves behind his wife of 51 years Marion, two sons Darren (Bonnie) and Dennis (Elizabeth), grandchildren Jeremy (Vicki) and Dylan, great grandchild Oliver, Sister Audrey (Donald), and a large group of extended family and friends.

Resting at New World Island Funeral Home, Summerford, NL. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic there will be a private viewing followed by a graveside service for immediate family only.

We are thankful that dad lived a long and happy outdoor life in Moreton's Harbour, in the place he loved and doing the things he loved. He was a commercial fisherman for well over 50 years and continued to cut his own firewood until the age of 80. Dad never lost his sense of humour, was well known for his honesty and integrity and for helping others in times of need. Dad understood the most important things in life; family, friendships and treating everyone with respect. We appreciate these lessons and will never forget them as we move forward.
