Reta Hill

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Reta Hill, age 83 years of Cottlesville, NL announce her passing at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 after losing her battle with kidney failure.

She is predeceased by her husband Lewis, daughter Alma, parents and 10 siblings.

Left with fond and loving memories are her children Wade (Angie Hill), Corey (Anita Huizinga), Robina (Eldon Thede)  Alison (Elvis Hann)  Bonnie (Sheldon Loder) Rina (Jason Fudge), 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, sister  Joan (Roy) Normore, brother Lester (Elvie) King as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Resting at New World Island Funeral Home, Summerford, NL with a private family viewing on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Funeral service will take place from the Salem Pentecostal Church, Cottlesville, NL on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. by invitation only.

Reta was born on June  8, 1937 to Stanley and Elsie King of Cottlesville, formally known as  Cottles Island. She married the love of her life Lewis Hill on July 3, 1958. They started their family together and had seven children , five girls and two boys. Reta was a stay-at-home mother until her children were grown and then went to work for a short time. She was committed to the Lord most of her life and raised her children in the Pentecostal setting. Reta's seventeenth great-granddaughter was born the night before she went to be with the Lord. Reta loved all her family deeply. She will be greatly missed by a wide circle of family and friends.
