Rose Jenkins

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rose Jenkins, age 85 years, of Summerford, NL announce her passing at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL on Monday, February 22, 2021.

She is predeceased by her parents Keywood & Dorcus Pelley, husband Harold Jenkins, brothers George (Gladys), James, Lewis and sisters Joyce Card & Effie Vandan.

Left with fond and loving memories are her children Vivian (Seymour), Helen, Pleamon, Ronald (Joanne), Kevin (Beverly), Alvin (Yuan), Goldie (Dean), Rosalind (Shawn), grandchildren Tony (Tanya), Ula (Corey), Calvin (Karen), Dwayne (Susan), Trena (Michael), Jamie (Michelle), Kenny (Wanda), Ashley (Vincent), Cathy, Norris (Jacinda), Dillon (Christina), 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, brother Wilson (Ada), brother-in-law Gerald Card and sisters-in-law Eileen Pelley & Louise Pelley as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Resting at New World Island Funeral Home, Summerford, NL. Due to the Covid-19 revised restrictions there will be a private family viewing followed by a graveside service.

Donations in Rose's memory may be given to the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund, Summerford, NL.

Rose was a quiet, soft spoken woman who lived a simple life. Her dream was to remain in her home, a place which was her haven. She was a strong, independent woman who had a passion for picking berries and had a large amount of love for animals. God blessed her with good health until these past few months when her health began to decline.
