It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Ross Barnes, age 73 years of Summerford, NL announce his peaceful passing with his family by his side on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL

He is predeceased by his parents Thomas & Edna Barnes, son Stephen Barnes, brothers Edward, Roy, Ralph and Artie Barnes.

Left with fond and loving memories are his daughters Stephanie (Guy), Patti (Evan), their mother Irene, granddaughters Sarah, Robyn, Brianna, siblings Albert, Cavell (Howard), Ewen, Gordon (Mary), Cyril, Velma (Bob), Ellison, Joan as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Resting at New World Island Funeral Home, Summerford, NL with a family visitation on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 11-12:30 p.m. A graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Cemetery, Summerford, NL.

"Today you slipped away to your eternal home, but in our hearts we know that you are not alone. A part of us went with you, to a glorious land that day, in our hearts and minds forever your memory remains. You can always tell where a beautiful soul has been by the tears and the smiles left behind".
