Ross Rogers

It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Ross Rogers, age 76 years, of Tizzard's Hr., NL announce his passing at his residence on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

He is predeceased by his parents Tom & Elsie Rogers, sister Effie Joan, brother George, brothers-in-law Sandy, Gordon, nephew Jarvis Gidge and great niece Sarah Gillard.

Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Phyllis of 23 years, sisters Eileen, Eleanor, Minnie (Scott), Edith (Derick), Joyce (Clarence), sister-in-law Audrey, a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and a large circle of extended family and friends.

Resting at Tizzard's Hr. United Church with public visitation on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the church on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.

Ross was born to Tom & Elsie Rogers of Fairbank on June 18, 1946. At the early age of 17 he went to work with the A.N.D. company later known as Abitibi Bowaters, where he worked for 45 years. He loved the outdoors, trouting, cutting wood, rabbit catching & berry picking. He spent this quality time with his brother George. On September 25, 1999 he married the love of his life, whom he loved unconditionally.

Some of the traits that defined Ross were his gentle spirit, contagious smile, kind hearted considerate nature and competitive spirit, especially when playing phase 10. He loved reading, puzzles and Word Find. Until sickness prevented him from attending church, his devotion to church activities were obvious and sincere. He was a member of the men's fellowship and sometimes took his turn doing vocals etc. His grey hair easily identified him among a crowd. He was a member of the United Church, Tizzard's Hr. for many years.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ross' memory may be given to the United Church Cemetery Fund, Tizzard's Hr.

The family has asked that masks be worn during the visitation and service.
