Stanley Powell

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stanley Powell, age 79, formerly of Change Islands, NL announce his peaceful passing at his residence in Stoneville, NL.

He is predeceased by his parents Walter & Doris Powell, sisters Bessie (Rex) Brinson, Clara Hart, Irene (Arch) Powell, brother George Woodford, brother-in-law Perry Bennett, son-in-law Bill Dawe.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of 58 years, Gladys, daughters Madeline, Angela, Josephine, son Eugene (Stacey), 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, sister Rosie (Jack) King, brother-in-law Rex Hart, as well as a large circle of family and friends.

Resting at the Salvation Army Citadel, Horwood, NL. Visitation will take place for family and invited guests only. Public funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 1 p.m.

Donations in Stanley’s memory may be given to his family.
