Theophilus Gillard

It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Theophilus Gillard, age 83 years of Cottlesville, announce his unexpected passing at his residence on Monday, December 9, 2024.

He is predeceased by his parents Dorman & Rita; sons Marvin, Steven; brother Willie; Niece Trina; parents-in-law Austin & Pansy Poole, sister-in-law Mary (Ernest) Barnes and brothers-in-law Frank & Lloyd Poole.

Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Laura; children Shirley (Rick), Rick (Yvette), Kelly (Tom), Rodney; grandchildren Krystal (Justin), Erica (Ash), Chad, Alicia (Kyle), Sarina (Brandon), Kendra (Robbie), Joshua, Hayley (Nathan); great-grandchildren Gracie, Grady, Gabe, Ryder, Lailah, Amelia, Oliver; siblings Ivy (Wallace), Daisy (Jerry), Edward (Theresa), Cavell (Bruce), Harry (Evelyn), Llewllyn (Linda), Roland (Donna), Lindo (Kay), Sharon (Cyril); sisters-in-law Audrey, Myrtle, Linda; brothers-in-law Bruce, Fred as well as a large circle of extended family & friends.

Resting at New World Island Funeral Home, Summerford, with public visitation on Wednesday , December 11, 2024 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the funeral home chapel on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with Major Donna Anstey officiating.

Donations in Theophilus’ memory may be given to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
