Velma Boyd

It is with great sadness that the family of Velma Loretta Boyd (Bridgeport) announce her peaceful passing on Friday, December 24, 2021 at her “baby girl’s” residence in Carbonear, surrounded by her loving family.

Velma leaves to mourn her loving husband: Morris of a blessed 42 years; daughter: April (Paul); son: Dwight (Nikita); 3 wonderful grandsons: Owen, Xander & Leland; her little princess granddaughter: Cadence and her 2 loving furry friends: Zeeky & Misty; brothers: Edgar (Sheila); Malvin (Carol); San (Eliza); sisters: Lizzy and Joyce as well as a wide circle of family and friends.

She is predeceased by her cherished son: Roy; mother: Clara; father: George; stepdad: Stewart; brothers: Fred, Havner & Roy; sisters: Becky; Keziah; Ellen; Bessie; & Vera.

Velma was admired by so many for her strong will, never to give up and her determination to succeed. She was a very courageous, loving woman who will be missed by all who knew her.
