In Loving Memory of Vivian Jean Walsh (nee Reddick)
It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our mother, Vivian Walsh, who passed peacefully at the age of 71 on August 9, 2025. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Born on November 30, 1953, in Twillingate, NL, Vivian was a woman of remarkable strength, deep compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family. She lived a life full of grace, kindness, and quiet courage.
A tireless nurturer and a fierce protector, she taught by example—through her generosity, her resilience, and the way she found beauty in life’s simple moments. She raised her children to be independent, hard working and to give back to those in need. Whether she was out for her walk with the dog, joking around with her friends, attending church, volunteering or driving her children around to their sports activities she brought light to those around her with her welcoming smile.
Although Vivian endured many years of illness, she was a fighter to her last day. Her will and determination to live was unmatched. Her family was so very important to her and over the years, she cherished the many gatherings and happy moments shared with each of them.
She is survived by her three children, Lisa, Cindy (Crystal), Kenny (Julia), her only grandchild and pride and joy, Olivia, siblings, Mildred, Howard, Audrey, Reg (Evelyn) and a large circle of family and friends, each of whom carries a piece of her heart and legacy.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Sarah Reddick, brother-in-law, Fred Haines, sister in-law, Betty Reddick and brother-in-law, Jack Dollimount.
Cremation has taken place. A public visitation with family will be held on Monday, August 18th from 7-8pm with a celebration of her life being held on Tuesday, August 19th beginning at 11am. Visitation and service to be held at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Herring Neck. Interment will follow the service at St. Mary’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Cobb’s Arm Road. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the following charities that were dear to Vivian, the SPCA, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society of Canada.
