Wallace Powell

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wallace Powell, age 72 years, of Change Islands, NL announce his passing at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander , NL on Friday, April 19, 2024.

He is predeceased by his parents Archibald & Irene, and brother Harris (Eileen).

Left with fond and loving memories are his siblings Donald (Elaine), Ross (Angela), Florence, Joan (Ray), Rodney (Paula) a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and a large circle of extended family and friends.

Resting at St. Margaret's Anglican Church, Change Islands, NL. Public visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the church on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. N. Buffett officiating.

Donations in Wallace's memory may be given to the Anglican Cemetery Fund, Change Islands, NL.

Wallace was a very quiet, kind, friendly man a friend to everyone. He left home at a early age of 14 years, moved to Lewisporte, NL to further his education. Worked at various jobs including the fish plant, lake boats out of Ontario for a few years. Had a passion for cooking, painting, cutting fire wood, but mostly enjoyed the outdoors riding his quad.
